2023 CALL FOR ROUNDTABLE PROPOSALS

2023 Call for Roundtable Proposals

мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± invites Roundtable Proposals from members and exhibitors for the 2023 hybrid мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Annual Meeting.

Roundtables will be designed as mini-meetings to be held during the brown-bag lunch period on Thursday of the Annual Meeting. They will take place in-person at round banquet tables in a large room at the conference hotel. Each discussion group will consist of the organizer and any мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Annual Meeting attendees who sign up in advance (space will be limited according to the size of the table).

The format is ideal for informal discussion on topics of general interest in the field, collaboration on publication projects or future member-organized sessions and workshops, matters of interest for field-schools and dig-directors, issues of student interest, and other items that мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±’s Annual Meeting participants find relevant.

Roundtable meetings are not part of the academic program and proposals will not be peer-reviewed. Roundtable proposals will be evaluated and accepted/rejected by the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± staff on a space available basis until the Call for Roundtable Proposals closes on October 20.

Ready to Submit a Roundtable Proposal?

The is brief and should be completed by the person who will organize and facilitate the Roundtable meeting.

Before completing the form, prepare a statement of 250 words or less that explains the significance of the topic, goals of the meeting, and a suggested target audience at the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Annual Meeting that would find the topic of interest.

A full list of the accepted мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Roundtable Topics will be posted on the Annual Meeting website. The sign-up process for attendees will be announced in the fall and there will be limited spaces available on a first-come first-served basis for each Roundtable meeting.

Please contact мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±â€™s Director of Meetings and Events, Arlene Press, if you have any questions about Roundtable meetings or submitting a proposal.
